The 2027 Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA) and Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) Annual Scientific Meeting is the premier international forum for sharing and discussing advances in aerospace medicine, undersea and hyperbaric medicine, human performance, operational medicine, and related disciplines. This year's theme, "Interdisciplinary. International. Innovative.", reflects the collaborative and multidisciplinary expertise required to address the challenges of human operations in aerospace, undersea, hyperbaric, and space environments.

All abstracts must be submitted electronically via the Annual Scientific Meeting website:

Authors are encouraged to review these instructions carefully before submitting their abstracts. Incomplete submissions may be returned for revision or declined. There will be no extensions to the submission deadline.
GENERAL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENT
- Abstract acceptance is at the sole discretion of the AsMA and UHMS Scientific Program Committees.
- Only unpublished work at the time of submission will be considered. Novel analyses or interpretations of previously published data are acceptable.
- Presenting authors are required to register for and attend the meeting.
- All abstracts must be submitted in English.
- Abstracts must be complete upon submission, including final results and conclusions.
- The Scientific Program Committees reserve the right to assign abstracts to the most appropriate presentation format or category.
ABSTRACT WORD LIMIT AND FORMATTING
Limit
- 350 words maximum (2,500 characters including spaces)
- Title, authors, and institutional affiliations are excluded from the word count.
- Tables, figures, references, graphs, and images are not permitted within the abstract submission.
Original Research Abstracts: Use the following headings:

CME Requirements
All submissions must include:
- At least two learning objectives.
- One CME question for each learning objective.
- For UHMS submissions, authors must provide:
- One multiple-choice question related to the abstract.
- The correct answer.
- A rationale explaining why the correct answer is correct and why the other answer choices are incorrect.
These questions will be used for educational and CME evaluation purposes.

Interactive Presentation
- Maximum of 10 PowerPoint slides.
- Displayed digitally
- Author presents during an assigned 90-minute session.
AsMA Slide Presentation
- 15 minutes total, including discussion.
AsMA Panel Presentation
- Four to five coordinated abstracts supporting a central theme.
- 90-minute session including discussion.
AsMA Workshop
- Half-day or full-day educational sessions.
- Multiple supporting abstracts required.

ABSTRACT USE PERMISSIONS AND RIGHTS
Submission of an abstract constitutes consent by the author(s) for AsMA/UHMS to use submitted materials, in whole or in part, as deemed appropriate.
All abstracts, interactive presentations, oral presentations, posters, and presentation materials (including PowerPoint slides) accepted for presentation at the Annual Scientific Meeting may be published in the organizations' respective journals and may subsequently be used, reproduced, distributed, recorded, or published in print and electronic media at the discretion of AsMA/UHMS. Presenters grant permission for meeting recording and related educational uses of accepted presentations.
