Per AFMS senior leadership, AF AsMA participants have the option to wear Class A uniform, otherwise attendance at all lectures and activities is business professional. Business professional includes coat-and-tie for men and equivalent for ladies to be consistent with the professional image expected while representing the United States Government at an international meeting.
If you are attending the formal awards dinner, you may wear your Class A dress uniform/Mess Dress. However, you must not wear your uniform outside of the hotel/conference venue.
While Class A uniform wear is optional, wearing service dress increased visibility of military medicine and promotes recruitment and teamwork. Hence, SOUSAFFS (Society of USAF Flight Surgeons) encourages wear of service dress to the max extent possible.
