Fun is The Wing's main mission!

The Wing of the Aerospace Medical Association ("The Wing") was formed in 1952 to promote and increase sociability among AsMA members and their families.  Participation in The Wing activities is open to all accompanying guests, spouses, domestic partners, and adult family members of AsMA. 

Get ready for some fantastic fun with The Wing of AsMA in Atlanta from June 1 – 6, 2025. We can't wait to welcome you for another fun-filled time together. Since our founding in 1952, The Wing has been dedicated to supporting aviation, aerospace, and environmental medicine. We're thrilled to extend a special invitation to the guests accompanying the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) to join us for all our activities this year.

The Wing Arrangements Committee has been working tirelessly to line up an array of fun-packed activities just for you. 

You'll always find us in The Wing Hospitality Room at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, where you can make new friends and reconnect with old ones. Hospitality Room hours will be published soon.  But in the meantime, here's a sneak peek at the fun activities we have planned:

  • Conference Registration and Wing Reception ($40 advance / $50 on-site)
    Reception is Monday, June 2, 2:00 - 4:00 PM
    Registration includes the Wing Welcome Reception, Wing hospitality room, and access to AsMA exhibits, etc.
    Wing registration room: Chicago A/B/C
    Note: Registration is mandatory for participation in Wing activities.
    The Welcome Reception room: Chicago A/B/C.
    Remember to bring a small gift reminiscent of your home city, state or country for the gift exchange and please include a short note letting the recipient know who/where the gift is from. New members and first-time attendees don’t bring a gift as we are very happy to welcome you to THE WING!

  • Georgia Aquarium ($65.00)
    Tuesday, June 3, 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM (Meet in Lobby at 9:30 AM)
    The Georgia Aquarium, located in the heart of Atlanta, is one of the largest and most captivating aquariums in the world. Home to thousands of animals and hundreds of species, the Georgia Aquarium boasts several uniquely-themed galleries that will transport us into diverse aquatic habitats. The Wing will enjoy an exciting dolphin show as the Georgia Aquarium promises to be an unforgettable experience.
  • Wing Luncheon and Business Meeting ($60.00)
    Wednesday, June 4, 10:30 - 1:00 (Meet in Lobby at 10:30 AM)
    Mary Mac's Tea Room.
    Mary Mac's first opened in 1945. Today it is the last of sixteen tea rooms that once dotted intown Atlanta in the 1940s. The food is southern cuisine and the atmosphere feels home-like. We are sure to experience true Southern cooking and hospitality. Expect a taste treat you will not soon forget. Lunch menu to follow.
  • Historic Oakland Cemetery Tour: ($40.00)
    Thursday, June 5, 9:15 - 12:00 (Meet in Lobby at 9:15 to board the bus)
    Join the Wing for a guided tour of the Historic Oakland Cemetery. Designated as a site on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, Oakland Cemetery offers visitors an opportunity to explore its gardens, learn about Atlanta's rich history and appreciate the remarkable architecture present throughout the cemetery.
